Broadcasting or promoting misinformation, misleading reports, fake or false news, censoring information or opinions could be an offense, a crime or even a felony. What the Western mainstream media is doing, with very few exceptions (Tucker Carlson, from Fox News, to mention one), regarding the Ukrainian-Russian war can be considered as a breach of constitutional or/and international law; more specifically, what we are witnessing is an outrageous contempt of the laws protecting the right to be informed and the freedom of speech.

These breaches are being performed not only by those big corporations themselves but also by journalists and reporters who are employed by them. Their lack of honesty and deontology cannot be excused by arguing that they are mere employees without any possibility for opposing their employers’ rules or the editors’ directives. These would be an absolutely fallacious argument and, of course, it would be illegal: the breach of a law could never become in accordance with the law under the argument that it was a matter of due obedience. The reason why it could never be considered an excuse – a legal exempt – is because you do not find yourself in a situation of not having any choice; on the contrary, the alternative is right in front of you, it is no other than to tell or to write the truth, to base your reports on facts, to search the sources, to check the information you receive, to contrast the statements of the providers of information, whether they are the leaders, politicians, officials, CEOs, officers, witnesses, etc.

but the thing is that we are facing another big fat problem, one that follows the above said, which is that we neither see nor foresee any consequence, not one at all, in the sense of being accountable for, resulting from the lies and dishonesty coming from the MSM. This impunity is very dangerous as, by one hand, it could make believe the fakers that they can go ahead with their lies not fearing any sanction and, by the other hand, it can demoralize those who are honest.

And last but not least, the propaganda built upon lies and silences, the spreading of hideous blames against others – in this case against Russians and also Chinese – is leading the people of the collective West to hatred towards these others.
